Home Based Businesses

Many home based businesses are failing. Studies show 90 percent of all home based businesses are failing to make any profit. There are many reasons for this. I believe everyone from the companies to the home business owners are at fault. Many people are afraid to join or start a home business because of all of the negative publicity going around. Many people who have actually started a with a business have lost lots of money but at the same time many people have also made a ton of money with these types of businesses. I will separate the myths from the facts in this article and explain what is really takes to be successful with these types of businesses. Hopefully this will put to rest any fears or questions you may have about the home business industry.

Like anything else in life you will alway's have a few bad apples ruining it for everyone else. And this is what has happened in the home business industry. There have been a few companies who had one purpose and that one purpose was to scam hard working and decent people out of their money. Once this happened of course word spread and a therefore a bad rep was given. Another thing that has hurt the home business industry is bad advertising. Some companies make promises they cannot deliver on. For example make $100,000 a year only working 10 minutes a month. Claims like this are completely untrue and many people have been burned by companies proclaiming ads like that.

But it is not entirely the companies fault, either. This maybe something you are not used to reading or hearing but it is also the faults of the people looking to join or start a home business. Most business owners will not tell you that since they are looking to sell you something, so they tell you everything you want to hear. I will be very blunt, many people looking to go into this industry are looking for the quick fix. They are looking to make money overnight. Many will give up after one month of trying to get a business off the ground. Now as a business owner myself, I think that is crazy, quitting after a month is ridiculous. You have to give your business a chance to succeed by sticking with it and working it daily.

Over 90 percent of home based businesses fail because many people come in with the wrong mentality. They come in thinking they will get rich quick by only working 10 minutes a month. Some of the companies in this industry also do not help out since they make such claims, like work 10 minutes a month and make 6 figures. Building a business for yourself can be one of the greatest things you can do for yourself but you must understand a business takes time and work to build. It does not happen overnight. If you are willing to put in the work and stick through the ups and downs you will find yourself enjoying a life of wealth and abundance.

Home Based Businesses

Home based businesses will become the norm in business. There are many advantages of having multiple home based businesses. First if one business goes bad you have other businesses to fall back. Next it is always better to have more than one successful company. It just makes sense. The more companies you can efficiently run the better off you are. The experience you also will gain from running multiple companies is also priceless. With the way the economy is headed and the way many major companies are shipping their jobs overseas, it just makes sense to start your own company. Many people will not catch on to this tread and they will end up getting left in the dust. If you don't believe me just visit your local unemployment office. You will not find 20 year olds in there looking for work. Instead you will find high paid employees, many who were making $150,000 and up, looking for work.

Many of these high paid employees will have to take a major pay cut. They will be lucky to earn $60,000 a year. This is a key reason many people will get left behind in the near future. Many people who get laid off will continue to look for another job and will continue to have to take pay cuts. Many people are using an outdated plan and that plan is failing them, badly. What is worse is they continue to teach their kids the same plan, not knowing they are setting up their kids for failure. These are the people who will continue to get left behind and passed up. This is what we know primarily as the middle class. The middle class believes in getting a college degree and then looking for a stable job. The middle class is being hit the hardest since it is their jobs that are being shipped overseas.

As a business owner, I can see many companies are beginning to see hiring employees as a major liability. Which explains why they are shipping out as many jobs as possible. Think about it as a business owner for a sec. First you have to pay insurance for all of your employees and we are talking about accidental insurance for the company, and medical insurance for your employees. Next you also have to pay a salary. But as a business owner if you know you can contract your work to a professional contractor for cheaper and you wouldn't have to pay any insurance's what so ever, it would just make sense. It just makes sense as a business owner.

Many high paid employees are not seeing this fact and it is a fact. Times are changing, either you change and take advantage of the changing times or you get passed up and live out a rough life. Going into business for yourself just makes complete sense. Instead of your employer having the control, you put the control in your hands. Not to mention the tax benefits you get with having your own business. Having multiple home based businesses just makes total sense.

Home Based Businesses

Home based businesses can help you quit your day job. Many people looking to make money are turning to different types of home based businesses. Building or joining a business is a great way help yourself out financially. As long as you come into your business knowing you will have to work and put in daily effort you should be well on your way to achieving the success you have always dreamed of. Many people join a work from home business with the wrong intentions. Yes everyone wants to make money but success does not come over night. It will take work and effort to build your company. This is one of the main problems I see when people first want to start a business. They expect results and huge results to happen overnight. This is just not realistic. Yes it is possible to make tons of money but it will not happen while you are sitting on your sofa, watching "Dancing With The Stars".

Starting your own company is a great way to live the lifestyle you have always dreamed of. The thing to remember is it will not always be a joy ride. You will have your ups and downs. It is just apart of business. How you react to the ups and downs is what separates the winners from the losers. Every owner has ups and downs. The winners shake off the losses and keep going. Winners refuse to quit no matter what may happen and no matter how long it may take for them to achieve their goals. Losers allow the tough times to bring them down and normally end up quitting when times get tough. See it is all state of mind. What you believe about yourself will become true. That is a major fact of life. You become what you believe yourself to be. If you believe in yourself and believe you will succeed no matter what it takes and no matter how long it takes you will succeed. If you believe you are doomed for failure and you are a quitter, you will fail.

When building your home based businesses be sure to have a solid plan. Your plan is essential. This is also what separates the winners from the losers. Winners have a solid plan that they know works. Most losers have no plan or they have a plan which is wrong or ineffective. Many people fail to get ahead in life because they have the wrong plans. For instance "go to school and get a great job, then retire", is an outdated plan. Maybe that worked for our parents but today and in the future that plan will be outdated. It is no longer just enough to get a good job, just ask someone who has just been laid off, after working for a company for 40+ years. Many companies are exporting jobs overseas, the job market is not what it use to be.

Building a business for yourself and your family is an awesome way to get ahead. Studies show the gap between the have and have nots is widening. Or to put it in layman's terms, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. The reason the rich get richer is not because they have some secret mutant power but it is because they have the vision and the courage to see and to take action in times of chaos.
